DPA 4166 CORE+ Omnidirectional Flex Headsets and Earsets
The DPA 4166 CORE+ puts DPA’s 4066 omnidirectional capsule, the same capsule type as the 4060, on a lightweight, flexible earset or headset boom.
It is the quickest DPA headworn mic to put on, for when miking has to be fast and easy, as at conferences. It gives clean, transparent sound with plenty of headroom and clear, natural speech, and performers can speak and sing into it at high levels without distortion. CORE+ keeps distortion low across the whole dynamic range.
The earset hooks over one ear, and the headset is worn over both. Either style fits any ear size and head shape, mounts securely, and is hardly visible; turn the boom and ear hook to wear it on the left or right. The cable splits from the boom at a connector, so a damaged cable or a different wireless connector can be swapped quickly.
The boom comes in 110 mm (4.3 in), the standard choice for most users, or 90 mm (3.5 in). The MicroLock version connects to most professional wireless systems through DPA’s MicroLock adapters, and hardwired versions come with 3-pin LEMO, TA4F Mini-XLR, or Mini-Jack connectors.
