DPA 4080 CORE+ Cardioid Lavalier Microphone

Made for chest placement, the DPA 4080 CORE+ is a cardioid lavalier microphone that captures the voice in fine detail and focuses on the speaker while rejecting sound from the sides.

An omni miniature hears the whole room, which suits many jobs, but in difficult acoustics with noise off to the side, the 4080’s directional pickup is the better choice. The mic’s acoustic design adds a 4 dB presence boost that matches chest placement and makes speech easier to understand. CORE+, DPA’s preamplifier technology, keeps distortion low across the whole dynamic range.

Mounting

The 4080 sits in a holder with a built-in shock mount, fixed on a clip, with a black pop filter fitted and a white pop filter in the box. The holder turns in any direction, so the mic sits right on left- or right-buttoned shirts. The 4080 is built for broadcast, conference, and live performance, in the studio and in the field.

Connectors

The MicroLock version connects to most professional wireless systems through DPA’s MicroLock adapters. Hardwired versions with 3-pin LEMO, TA4F Mini-XLR, and Mini-Jack connectors plug straight into popular transmitters.
