Zaxcom RX-12 Digital Wireless Receiver
The Zaxcom RX-12 is a six-slot digital wireless receiver for the sound bag or cart that takes up to 24 transmitters when loaded with MRX414 modules.
It combines a 35 MHz tracking front-end filter, an RF amplifier, and antenna and power distribution in one compact chassis, and it receives Zaxcom’s fully encrypted digital signal from every Zaxcom transmitter and modulation.
Receiver Modules
The six slots take MRX214, MRX414, or QRX212 modules in any combination, and every module is hot swappable, which suits rental houses whose needs change daily. The RX-12 is sold without modules, and QRX212 modules can be added when ordering.
Reception and Outputs
The tracking filter receives any frequency in blocks 20 to 26 (512 to 698 MHz) while blocking strong signals outside its window, such as walkie-talkies and wireless follow focus. The RF amplification comes from a built-in MicPlexer, and an RF loop-through feeds more receivers.
Six TA5 connectors output 12 channels of analog or 24 channels of AES digital audio at mic, consumer, or line level.
Frequency Coordination
A full-color LCD runs the menus, and a built-in scanner with Auto-Pick chooses clean frequencies at the push of a button. Linked over ZaxNet to an IFB200, Nova, Nomad, or Deva 24, the RX-12 re-frequencies the transmitters to match and makes quick gain adjustments.
