JK Audio Interchange Intercom Phone Bridge — A professional half-rack interface that provides remote access to a party-line intercom through a JK Audio phone hybrid. It supplies a four-wire audio interface and remote control connection for the JK Audio innkeeper LTD, innkeeper 1x/1rx, or innkeeper 2 digital hybrids on POTS lines, or the AutoHybrid IP2 on VoIP lines (all sold separately). A front panel headset interface jack also connects a mobile phone, tablet, or computer, allowing remote access through a wireless phone call or a conferencing app.

The listen-always design lets both the hybrid four-wire connection and the mobile headset interface monitor the intercom like any other belt pack, with listen mode operating as a high-impedance bridging tap on the intercom line. Talk mode is enabled by a front panel switch set to Off, On, or Auto, and Auto follows the hybrid’s auto-answer mode. A solid-state relay couples talk audio from the phone line and cell phone interfaces to the intercom channel. With an innkeeper 2 or AutoHybrid IP2, the conference feature lets two callers share one intercom connection, or Line 1 and Line 2 can feed two separate Interchange units on two separate intercom loops.

Male and female 3-pin XLR jacks handle the intercom loop and the four-wire connection, and a male XLR mix line output feeds monitoring. Send and receive LED metering, front panel screwdriver level controls, and channel select simplify setup, and the unit draws its power from the intercom and the phone hybrid.
