Zaxcom MRX414 Module Receiver

The Zaxcom MRX414, a module receiver, picks up four Zaxcom transmitters at once and slides into a host such as the Nova mixer-recorder or the RX-8.

It works in the Nova, RX-4, RX-8, RX-12, and RX-12R, and it can be swapped while the host is running.

RF Performance

The MRX414 uses its host’s tunable tracking front-end filter to reject interference and extend range. With a noise floor of −135 dB it reaches far, and nearby transmitters have almost no effect on reception from distant ones.

Its RF performance beats the previous generation of Zaxcom receivers by 5 dB, and it rejects walkie-talkies, cell phones, and HD television signals 10 dB better. It receives every Zaxcom digital recording wireless transmitter in Mono, Stereo, XR, and ZHD96 modes.

Tuning Ranges

Three versions cover different parts of the UHF band. The L model tunes 512 to 614 MHz (blocks 20 to 23), the M model 550 to 660 MHz, and the H model 596 to 698 MHz (blocks 23 to 26). The module draws 300 mA at 13 V DC from its host, or 150 mA per receiver.
