Sound Devices Astral PowerStation Cell Battery Charger
The Sound Devices Astral PowerStation Cell is a compact fast charger for Astral TX and Astral HH batteries, holding up to six XL-B14500 or four XL-B18650 batteries at once.
It also takes a mix of three XL-B14500 and two XL-B18650 batteries. A removable latching door keeps them in place in transport or in a rack.
Desktop or Rack
Cells join with a self-locating slot-in mechanism, and screws secure the assembly. Up to four Cells daisy-chain on a desktop, and up to three fit in a rack with the Astral PowerStation Rack-Mount Kit. Power comes in over USB-C. The Astral PowerStation PSU 45W suits one fully loaded Cell, and the Astral PowerStation PSU 140W runs four daisy-chained Cells. The chain shares power and manages charge speed across its Cells.
Charging Status
LEDs show power and fast-charge status, and each battery bay has its own LED: green at 100 percent, alternating green and blue at 80 percent, and blue while charging. A flashing red LED marks an unsupported battery chemistry, a battery inserted the wrong way, a short-circuited battery, or a dead battery.
