Sound Devices CD1 Cardioid Capsule — Included with the A20-HH microphone transmitter. The CD1 is the world’s only 100% calibrated, dynamic mic capsule. This patent-pending feature means that every CD1 matches every other CD1 ever made. The same sensitivity and same frequency response, day after day. The CD1 features a cardioid polar pattern and has a well-balanced frequency response tailored for vocals. Comes with orange mic foam.

The CD1 also features a patented dual-engine design: two voice coils and two diaphragms, yielding consistent polar-patterns over frequency, low handling noise, and excellent dynamic range.

Despite its superior sound capabilities, the CD1 capsule is built for the rigors of touring and life on the road. Its rugged construction, shock-mounting, and steel grille mean that after many drops, the show carries on.
