Sound Devices Astral Outpost NexLink Remote-Control Extender
The Sound Devices Astral Outpost moves NexLink antennas out to the action and connects them back to the receiver over Cat-6 or fiber-optic Ethernet.
NexLink is Sound Devices’ long-distance 2.4 GHz remote control for Astral transmitters, and it reaches farther than the audio does. Cable loss at 2.4 GHz keeps NexLink antennas within a few inches of the receiver, so the Astral Outpost puts them where they are needed instead, beside the UHF audio antennas. One Outpost can cover a large stadium.
It runs on PoE or USB-C and has a rugged, rain-resistant chassis with dual 1/4 in, 3/8 in, and 5/8 in mounting holes. Setup is plug and play, each Outpost can take a custom name such as Stage 1, and its connection status shows on the Astral ARX16 or Astral ARX32.
