Sennheiser MKH 50 P48 Condenser Microphone
Made for spot and soloist miking, the Sennheiser MKH 50 P48 is a super-cardioid condenser microphone that rejects sound from the sides while keeping its pattern steady across the frequency range.
It is a pressure gradient design with very low self-noise and high sensitivity, and it also works well where feedback control matters. A switchable roll-off filter offsets the proximity effect at about 0.5 m, and a switchable pad lowers the sensitivity for loud sources.
The mic runs on 48 V phantom power and has a 150 Ω output.
