Sennheiser MD 46 Cardioid Dynamic Interview Microphone
Tuned for interviews, the Sennheiser MD 46 is a rugged dynamic cardioid handheld mic for live reporting and broadcast.
Its cardioid pattern favors the person speaking over the noise around them; an omni interview mic would pick up that noise as well. Its design, with a double-layer grille basket, keeps handling noise, wind noise, and popping low. The long handle is well balanced, and the housing is metal.
It connects with an XLR-3 and covers 40 Hz to 18 kHz. No stand clip comes with it.

About Sennheiser
Sennheiser began in 1945, when Fritz Sennheiser set up a laboratory in a farmhouse near Hanover, Germany. In 1956 they launched their first shotgun microphone, the MD 82, and they released a wireless microphone early in the 1960s. Today their professional line includes wired microphones and wireless microphone and monitoring systems, and they remain an independent, family-owned company.
