Sennheiser MD 421 Kompakt Dynamic Microphone
The Sennheiser MD 421 Kompakt is a cardioid dynamic microphone that brings the sound of the MD 421 to a smaller, lighter body for stage and studio.
Like the original, it handles very loud sources, from guitar amps to drums and brass. An internal bass tube extends the low end, and the response runs from 30 Hz to 17 kHz.
The new mounting clip is fixed to the mic body and fits a standard stand, and the optional MZH drum clamp screws into it for drum miking. A stainless steel basket, an inner chassis that keeps out dust and humidity, and gold-plated XLR contacts are built for touring. Unlike the MD 421-II, it has no bass roll-off switch.
