Sennheiser EW 500 FILM G4 Wireless Combo Set (AW+)
The Sennheiser EW 500 FILM G4 pairs two transmitters with one camera receiver. An SK 500 G4 bodypack with an MKE 2 lavalier handles dialogue, and an SKP 500 G4 plug-on transmitter takes a boom or handheld mic.
The plug-on supplies 48 V phantom power for condenser mics. Transmitter and receiver sync over infrared. The system tunes across up to 88 MHz with up to 32 channels, reaches up to 100 m (330 ft), and lets you set the RF output to 10, 30, or 50 mW. Each unit runs about 8 hours on two AA batteries.
This set covers the AW+ band, 470 to 558 MHz. Sennheiser has discontinued the set.
