Rycote Mono Extended Ball Gag Windshield

The Rycote WS 9 is a Modular Windshield for the Mono Extended Ball Gag Suspension and the Mono Extended Ball Gag MZL Suspension. The MZL suspension is made for Sennheiser MKH 8000 series microphones and the MZF 8000 low-cut filter.

The Modular Windshield is a blimp, or zeppelin, style basket that completely surrounds the microphone and its connector, keeping a volume of still air around the microphone. It gives strong protection against wind noise with minimal high-frequency loss.

Features

• Modular basket windshield (WS 9)
• Minimal high-frequency loss
• Surrounds the microphone and connector with still air
• For the Mono Extended Ball Gag and Mono Extended Ball Gag MZL Suspensions

About Rycote Modular Windshields

Audio professionals have used Rycote windshield and suspension systems since 1969, and Rycote still builds them in the UK. The Modular Windshield system is sold in complete kits and as separate parts, so you can add or replace a basket, extension, suspension, or Windjammer to suit a different microphone. Rycote developed the original Windjammer fur cover, and it tests its designs in its own wind tunnel.
