Rycote Modular Windshield WS 9 Kit
The Rycote WS 9 is a modular basket windshield kit for compact condenser mics, sold with or without a Connbox for the Sennheiser MKH 8020, 8040, and 8050 with MZL modules. The kit is made for the Schoeps CCM and Sennheiser MKH 8000 ranges.
With the Connbox, the kit pairs the WS 9 basket and Windjammer WJ 9 with an MZL suspension, two Lyre 62 clips, a pistol grip, a boom pole adapter, and an XLR holder. The Connbox carries the mic’s MZL output out through a Neutrik XLR and Mogami cable.
The version without a Connbox uses your own cable. With the Windjammer fitted, the kit reduces wind noise by up to 35 dB. The Lyres never sag or need rethreading.
