Remote Audio SpeakEasy R1 Rack-Mount Stereo Speaker System
The Remote Audio SpeakEasy R1 puts a self-contained stereo monitor speaker in a single rack space and runs on 12 V DC.
It draws 55 mA at idle and plays loud enough for equipment rooms.
Inputs and Monitoring
Two XLR inputs take a stereo line-level signal from −10 dBV to +4 dBu or the signal from a stereo headphone jack. On the XLR and 1/4-inch combo jack, the 1/4-inch socket takes a stereo plug, so one TRS cable from a mixer’s headphone output can feed the R1 on a cart. The source selector picks left, right, stereo, or a summed mono, and plugging headphones into the front jack mutes the speakers.
Power
The R1 runs on 9 to 20 V DC through two inputs: a 4-pin XLR (pin 4 positive, pin 1 ground) and a 2.1 mm coaxial jack (center positive). The front power button lights when power is present, and an optional Remote Audio PS12V1.5 wall supply powers it from AC.
