Radius 19/22 Nimbus Multi Pile Black Slide-On Windshields
The Radius 19/22 Nimbus Multi Pile Black windshields slide over microphones 19 to 22 mm in diameter and cut up to 25 dB of wind noise, in black fur that stays discreet on camera.
Rubber end caps fit snugly around the microphone to keep wind from getting behind the capsule. Small pepper-pot holes in the rear caps let sound through, which reduces polar pattern distortion and adds clarity. Inside is a porous open-cell foam core.
Six lengths cover pencil condensers, the Sanken CS-M1, and short to full-length shotguns. Pick the length that covers your microphone’s slots and leaves room behind the capsule. The Compatibility tab lists the models each length fits. Nimbus windshields are made in England.
