Phonak Roger On 2
Phonak Roger On 2 — Compact, multifunctional wireless transmitter designed for the Roger Earpiece System. It functions as a gateway between an existing UHF IFB beltpack (Lectrosonics, Wisycom, Comtek, and others) and the Roger Earpiece, accepting a hardwired audio feed and retransmitting it over Phonak’s license-free 2.4 GHz digital protocol. The result is a virtually cable-free cueing solution for talent, without adding beltpacks or visible wires to their body.
On film and television sets, the Roger On 2 is kept near talent off-camera while the IFB beltpack feeds it audio from the sound cart. It replaces the phased-out Roger MultiMedia Hub at the same price point, with meaningful upgrades: built-in microphones, multiple mic modes, individual earpiece volume adjustment, and a belt clip. At 27g and roughly the size of a USB drive, it is the smallest and lightest Roger transmitter available.
The Roger On 2 is specific to the broadcast and studio ecosystem and does not function with hearing aid devices. It ships with an EU power plug (plug adapter required for North American use). For live production and content creators working in controlled environments, it offers a reliable and discreet way to deliver director or producer cues directly to talent.
The myRogerMic app allows you to change microphone mode, mute/unmute, and check battery level & current mic mode, all without touching the device itself. This free app connects via Bluetooth LE and works on iOS and Android devices.
