Lectrosonics ZS-LRHMa L-Series Plug-On Wireless Kit

The Lectrosonics ZS-LRHMa L-Series plug-on wireless kit pairs an HMa transmitter with an LR compact receiver, along with the mount and cables to put them to work on a camera.

The HMa plugs into any XLR mic or line source, with 5, 15, or 48 V phantom power and 50 or 100 mW output. The LR is a compact Digital Hybrid Wireless receiver for ENG and DSLR video, with tracking front-end filters, RF spectrum scanning, and SmartSquelch, and it runs on two AA batteries or an optional battery eliminator.

Frequency Band

Trew Audio offers the kit in Band A1 (470.100 to 537.575 MHz), with the transmitter and receiver on the same band, each tuning across about 75 MHz.

Using the Kit

The LRSHOE mounts the LR on a camera shoe, and the two cables feed its TA3 output to an XLR input or a 1/8 in TRS camera input. Both units are made in the USA with machined aluminum housings. Digital Hybrid Wireless gives compandor-free audio, with compatibility modes for older analog systems. Each has an IR port, so the receiver can set up the transmitter.
