Lectrosonics ISO9VOLTM Battery Eliminator with UM Battery Door
The Lectrosonics ISO9VOLTM is an isolated battery eliminator kit that runs an M or UM type belt-pack transmitter from external DC, with a modified battery door for the power plug.
It suits Lectrosonics transmitters with hinged doors made for 9 V batteries. The eliminator sits in the battery compartment like a 9 V battery and converts 10.5 to 18 VDC to a regulated 9 VDC at the battery terminals. A hole in the modified door exposes its power jack, and the door still closes over a regular alkaline or lithium battery.
Isolation for Bag Systems
When a mixer, receivers, and transmitters in a bag share one battery, a ground loop often adds whine or hiss to the audio. A DC-to-DC converter and a transformer isolate the power ground from the transmitter’s audio ground, which breaks that loop. The eliminator supplies up to 200 mA, enough for 250 mW transmitters, and it is fused and protected against reverse polarity.
Good to Know
The ISO9VOLTM is not for transmitters with rotating battery doors. The 21472 power cord comes with it, and the power supply is sold separately.
