IDX VL-2X 2-Channel V-Mount Battery Charger

Slim and light, the IDX VL-2X is a fanless 2-channel V-Mount battery charger that doubles as a 36 W power supply.

The VL-2X charges one battery at a time, moving to the second when the first is done, and handles both Li-ion and Ni-Cd batteries. When it is not charging, its 4-pin XLR DC output supplies 36 W at 15 V to run other equipment.

Its external AC adapter lets the charger run without a fan, so it charges quietly. Recovery Charge mode brings a deeply drained battery back with a low pre-charge current until its voltage is safe for full charging, which limits damage to the cells. The VL-2X powers down when it sits idle, and at 0.95 lb it packs easily for travel. It charges the IDX CUE-J V-Mount batteries.
