Electro-Voice RE27N/D Variable-D Dynamic Cardioid Microphone
The Electro-Voice RE27N/D pairs a neodymium magnet with a Variable-D dynamic design for up to 6 dB more output than a standard dynamic mic, with the detail of a studio condenser.
It keeps a dynamic mic’s low noise and immunity to overload. Continuously Variable-D removes the bass boom of working close to the mic. A hum-bucking coil rejects magnetically induced hum from lighting and other gear.
Three switches shape the sound at the mic: two bass roll-offs and a treble cut. The response runs from 45 Hz to 20 kHz. Wind and blast filters are built in.
It is made for broadcast and voiceover, and it also works on kick drum, brass, and bass cabinets.
