DPA 4071 CORE+ Omni Lavalier Microphone with Presence Boost

The DPA 4071 CORE+ is an omni lavalier microphone tuned for the chest, with a presence boost of typically 5 dB at 4 to 6 kHz that brings back the consonants a chest position dampens.

An acoustic low-cut in the capsule rolls off everything below 100 Hz, where a voice on the body has nothing worth keeping. That gives the preamp and the wireless system more headroom and removes rumble, noise, and proximity effect. With CORE+ the 4071 handles up to 144 dB SPL peak with distortion neutralized across its range.

The speech tuning suits ENG crews whose mixers cannot make this kind of correction, reporters in the studio, and film work with the mic hidden under clothing. The grid is fixed, and the mic comes with a MicroLock connector in black, beige, or white. MicroLock is DPA’s locking connector. A MicroLock adapter connects the mic to most professional wireless transmitters, and MicroLock parts also mate with MicroDot parts (the lock works only when both halves are MicroLock).
