Rycote Baseball Windjammer Combo

For booming indoors and out, the Rycote Baseball Windjammer Combo brings together a felt-covered windscreen and the fur cover that fits over it.

The Baseball is a 3-inch windscreen that holds a cavity of still air around the capsule. It cuts the swoosh of fast boom swings. Across the spectrum, it reduces wind noise by 30 dB on its own and 40 dB with the Windjammer.

Its open-cell foam sits under a soft felt cover stitched like a baseball, and a thermoplastic end cap holds it tightly on the mic. The Baseball weighs 17 g and the Windjammer 15 g, and both are handmade in the UK.

Choosing a Size

The 19/20 fits the DPA 4018, Schoeps CMC, and Sennheiser MKH 8040 and 8050 with MZX XLR modules. The 21/22 fits the Neumann KM 183, 184, and 185, Sennheiser ME 64, and Audio-Technica AT4041, AT4049b, AT4051b, and AT4053b. The 24/25 fits the Sennheiser MKH 40 and MKH 50.
