Ambient Lockit+ Timecode and Sync Generator
Built on the Lockit’s core, the Ambient Lockit+, a timecode and sync generator, adds WiFi access, more connections, and RF frequency scanning for studios and larger productions.
It provides every timecode and sync format the Lockit does, with full ACN compatibility. In a studio it can serve as the master clock, or as the bridge from a studio clock to the Lockits on each camera.
WiFi Access
A built-in server creates a local WiFi network, so a phone, tablet, or computer opens the Lockit+ in a browser. The web interface gives access to advanced generator settings and monitors every Lockit device on the ACN.
Connections
The Lockit+ has two blue timecode and ACN ports and one yellow timecode and sync port, all 5-pin Lemo-compatible. It also has a USB-A port for the frequency scanning antenna, a USB-C port for camera metadata and power, a second USB-C port reserved for MIDI timecode, and a Hirose power connector.
Frequency Scanning
With Ambient’s ACN-RF antenna plugged into a USB port, the Lockit+ runs a full frequency scan and suggests open frequencies for wireless transmitters and receivers in its web interface. The antenna comes in the bundle version or separately.
Lens and Camera Metadata
The Lockit+ records key Cooke /i lens metadata frame-accurately in an open file format and makes it available live over WiFi or Ethernet; the ACN-CP lens cable is sold separately. It also pulls technical metadata from compatible cameras and sends it over WiFi to Ambient’s LockitScript app for script supervisors.
Power
The Lockit+ runs on 6 to 24 V DC through its Hirose 4-pin connector, or on USB-C power. The two included BX1 batteries run it on their own for up to 4 hours in basic operation.
