Zaxcom URX100 UHF Receiver

The Zaxcom URX100 handles three jobs as a UHF receiver: a camera link, an IFB with a walkie-talkie interface, or a stand-alone IFB with timecode display and delay.

It receives any Zaxcom Digital Recording Wireless transmitter, and its tunable tracking front-end filter fights interference and extends range. Two antennas, one internal and one external, resist dropouts, and operating distances can exceed 500 ft (152 m).

Camera Link

As a camera link it outputs stereo audio, or mono audio with SMPTE timecode. The 3.5 mm headphone jack carries stereo or balanced mono audio, and the auxiliary TA5 connector carries timecode and unbalanced mono audio.

Walkie-Talkie Interface

Connected to a walkie-talkie’s remote speaker-mic port, the URX100 routes the walkie audio left, right, or center and can mix it with the receiver audio, so one pair of headphones hears both.

The optional URXL1 lanyard adds a push-to-talk button, a microphone for talkback, a volume control, and a 3.5 mm jack for any headphones.

IFB Receiver

As an IFB receiver it plays mono or stereo, shows timecode on its OLED display, and delays audio by up to six frames to match video. A boom operator can choose one of two transmitted channels, such as a public IFB feed and a private communication channel.

Remote Control and Power

A browser-based interface programs URX100 receivers remotely. Three AA batteries give up to 10 hours on lithium or 8 hours on alkaline.
