Zaxcom Nova Touch Software Unlock Code

This software unlock code activates Zaxcom Nova Touch, a touchscreen interface for the Nova and Nova 2 mixer/recorders.

Nova Touch runs on a Windows 8.1 or later tablet or computer in the sound bag or on the cart. It gives quick access to menus and matrices, cross points, metadata entry, expanded metering, and a large timecode slate with metadata.

Ordering the Code

Zaxcom generates each code from the serial number of your Nova or Nova 2, which is entered when ordering. The code comes with a serial data cable or on its own. With the Aria, Mix-16, or Oasis, Nova Touch needs no unlock code.

Tablet and Demo

A Microsoft Surface Go with a USB hub is the recommended tablet, since the hub provides the ports Nova Touch uses. Another tablet connects to the Zaxcom control surface through a USB hub that converts the tablet’s USB-C port to USB-A. Paired with a tablet, Nova Touch also runs a demo of about 10 minutes without a Zaxcom device.
