Wisycom MPR52-ENG-B12 Two-Channel Ultra-Wideband Receiver
Made for ENG, the two-channel Wisycom MPR52-ENG-B12 puts two ultra-wideband diversity receivers in one compact bodypack, with both analog and AES3 digital outputs.
The B12 version tunes 470 to 800 MHz plus 823 to 832 and 920 to 960 MHz. High Q moving filters guard the front end from 470 to 960 MHz and from 960 to 1160 MHz. Each channel runs wideband or narrowband FM, set in software. Narrowband improves band efficiency by more than 50 percent and adds about 3 dB of sensitivity and noise immunity.
A fast spectrum scan, a high contrast OLED display, and transmitter programming by infrared make setup quick, and one button starts a scan or sync. Connected over USB to Wisycom Manager software, the MPR52 doubles as a quick, low noise portable spectrum scanner. Its DSP companders match the ENR, ENC, and ENS companders in Wisycom’s transmitters and emulate the companders other systems use.
Power comes from the MPRLBP lithium-ion pack, which runs about 7 hours, or from two AA batteries. The lithium pack charges through the USB port or in the dedicated charger.
