URSA WireRig

The URSA WireRig turns any lav mic into a gooseneck with a 40 cm flexible copper wire that rises from a solid base. The mic cable wraps around the wire, and the wire bends to put the mic exactly where it needs to be.

Eight notches in the base lock the wire at different angles and lengths, so a rig can be set up the same way each time. Each WireRig comes with 20 URSA Very Stickies, which fix the base to vehicles, furniture, walls, and props without screws or clamps.

The base is small and the wire is light, so the rig packs easily into a sound kit. It suits car interiors, plant mics hidden in sets or props, and other hard-to-rig spots in film, TV, theater, and broadcast work. Wind covers such as the Bubblebee Windbubble or Rycote Mini Windjammer go on without upsetting the mic’s placement.
