Sound Devices Astral VHF Whip Antenna with SMA Connector

The Sound Devices Astral VHF Whip Antenna comes uncut at 17 in, so it can be trimmed to the length that matches the frequency in use on Astral wireless.

A quarter-wave whip covers a band of around 60 MHz, centered on a frequency set by its length, and the wrong length reduces range. Measure from the bottom of the SMA connector and cut at the point Sound Devices’ antenna length chart gives for your frequency.

Every Astral TX and Astral Mini is packed with one. To work outside the ranges of the transmitter’s two fixed-band antennas, cut another whip to the new frequency.

Features

• Straight VHF flexible whip with SMA connector
• 17 in uncut, trimmed to the frequency in use
• For the Astral TX and Astral Mini
