Sound Devices Astral PowerStation Rack-mount Kit — Turns a stack of Astral PowerStation Cell chargers into a permanent fixture in the rack. It holds up to three Cells, mounted vertically, in a standard 19 inch, 2RU space. The Cells join together using the same self-locating, slot-in daisy-chain mechanism they use on a desktop, and the assembly is then secured into the frame. The result is a single charging bay for Astral TX and HH batteries that stays put through load-in, transport, and the run of the show.

Battery management is constant work on any production. Rack mounting keeps that work out of the way and off the cart surface. Batteries load and unload from the front, so there is no need to pull the assembly, and the removable latching door on each Cell keeps batteries from dropping loose while the rack is in motion. Production sound mixers will find this the cleanest way to fold Astral charging into an existing cart layout. Live production and broadcast facilities can build the same bay into a machine room or a flypack. Pair the kit with the Astral PowerStation PSU 140W to feed the full three-Cell chain from a single supply.
