Sennheiser EW-D SKM-S BASE SET Digital Wireless Handheld System

The Sennheiser EW-D SKM-S BASE SET is a digital wireless handheld system without a capsule: an EW-D SKM-S transmitter and an EW-D EM rack receiver, ready for the head you choose.

The SKM-S takes Evolution Wireless Digital capsules from Sennheiser and Neumann, so the set suits a singer who already owns a favorite head. It has a mute switch and a metal housing. Its 134 dB input dynamic range means there is no input sensitivity to set. Setup runs through the Smart Assist app over Bluetooth Low Energy, and auto scan finds clear frequencies. The handheld runs up to 8 hours on two AA batteries, or up to 12 hours on a BA 70 rechargeable pack, sold separately.

Frequency Bands

This page offers three US bands: Q1-6 (470.2 to 526 MHz), R1-6 (520 to 576 MHz), and R4-9 (552 to 607.8 MHz). Each band covers 56 MHz with up to 90 channels. The signal is digital, so channels sit on an even 600 kHz grid.
