About Sennheiser

Sennheiser began in 1945, when Fritz Sennheiser set up a laboratory in a farmhouse near Hanover, Germany. In 1956 they launched their first shotgun microphone, the MD 82, and they released a wireless microphone early in the 1960s. Today their professional line includes wired microphones and wireless microphone and monitoring systems, and they remain an independent, family-owned company.
