Sanken CS-1e Short Shotgun Microphone
The Sanken CS-1e fits very sharp directivity into a short shotgun microphone 181.5 mm long and 80 g, for boom poles and camera mounts.
It is Sanken’s update of the CS-1, with a longer pickup reach, extended low-frequency response, and lower noise. Its short body stays out of the camera’s view, and one-person ENG crews can use it on a boom pole or a camera mount.
The capsule is a DC biased condenser with 15 dB-A self-noise and a 130 dB SPL maximum, powered by 48 V phantom through an XLR-3M connector. Its components are chosen to resist humidity and sudden temperature changes.
