Rycote Portable Recorder Audio Kit for Handheld Recorders

The Rycote Portable Recorder Audio Kit pairs a Lyre suspension with a fur Mini Windjammer cut for your recorder. The Windjammer cuts wind noise outdoors, and the suspension cuts handling and stand noise.

The suspension fits any recorder with a 1/4-inch female thread. Its swivel adapter turns through 180 degrees to aim the recorder at the speaker. The suspension mounts on a 3/8-inch thread, a mic stand, a boom pole, or a camera hot shoe.

The patented Lyres are unaffected by temperature extremes, unlike rubber or elastic suspensions, so the kit works in harsh conditions. A soft-grip extension handle makes handheld recording quieter.

Choosing a Kit

Each kit is named for the recorder its Mini Windjammer fits. The Zoom H6 kit uses the heavier-duty HD suspension and comes with two Mini Windjammers, one for each of the H6’s two stereo capsules (XY and MS).
