RODE NT6 Compact Condenser Microphone

The RODE NT6 is a compact condenser microphone with a remote capsule, made for difficult mounting positions.

The microphone splits into two parts joined by a custom 3 m shielded, Kevlar-reinforced cable. The head holds a 1/2-inch gold-sputtered cardioid capsule on a multi-position mounting ring with 180 degrees of vertical rotation. The body houses the preamp, with an 80 Hz high-pass filter and a pad.

It runs on P24 or P48 phantom power and connects over XLR. Its frequency range is 40 Hz to 20 kHz, its self-noise is 19 dBA, and it handles up to 135 dB SPL. It works with the RODE Boompole and Boompole Pro.
