RF Venue Wall-Mount Diversity Fin 5-Channel Wireless Mic Pack

The RF Venue Wall-Mount Diversity Fin pack combines a Diversity Fin antenna and its wall mounting hardware with a DISTRO5 HDR antenna distribution system and the cables to connect them. It covers up to five channels of wireless microphones, and the antenna comes in black or white.

The parts are designed to work together, so the pack works without any RF engineering. On a wall, the compact antenna has a good line of sight to the wireless system and stays out of the way of performers and technicians. Two 25 ft low-loss antenna cables run from the antenna to the DISTRO5 HDR, and a 10-pack of 1.5 ft low-loss BNC interconnects links the DISTRO5 HDR to the receivers. RF Venue terminates and checks this double-shielded coax in house. Wireless microphones and receivers are sold separately.

Diversity Fin Antenna

The Diversity Fin combines a log-periodic dipole array and a dipole at right angles in one housing, so one element picks up vertically polarized signals and the other horizontally polarized ones. Receivers see a steady signal however a performer holds the microphone, and a single Diversity Fin gives better coverage than two traditional shark fin antennas.

DISTRO5 HDR Distribution

The DISTRO5 HDR is a half-rack antenna and power distribution system that sends clean, low-noise RF across the 470 to 698 MHz band to up to five wireless microphone receivers of any brand. Two units cascade with the included joining plate hardware for up to 9 channels of wireless mics in one rack space. Its internal power supply also delivers up to 5 A of 12 V DC through the included DC Octopus cable to receivers and other rack gear. A 12 V DC input lets it run on battery power on a sound cart.
