Remote Audio Lav Snake
The Remote Audio Lav Snake is a lavalier wiring tool that pulls a lav mic’s cable through clothing, even in tight spaces.
It is a thin, nearly unbreakable polished wire, 3.5 times thinner and lighter than competing tools. It bends with clothing yet keeps its shape through years of use. One end has a bright red, low-profile tip that slips through fabric, and the other has a TA connector with a smooth, curved boot that will not snag.
How It Works
Plug the mic into the Lav Snake, feed the red tip down through the clothing and out, then pull it through so the mic cable follows, and unplug the mic. Because the connector trails behind, the Lav Snake only travels one way. It works in clothing too tight for lav weights or too delicate for a rigid stick.
What It Fits
It mates with any TA female connector used on lavalier mics, such as Lectrosonics and Shure. Threaded adapters are available for locking 3.5 mm mics (Sennheiser Evolution and Sony wireless) and for Lemo mics (Zaxcom, Sennheiser, and Wisycom).
It coils into a tight loop for a pocket or the included zippered pouch, which has a swivel clip for a belt loop or mixer bag. It is made in the U.S.A.
