Radius Mushroom Foam Windscreens — 5cm mushroom microphone foams designed to fit small pencil condenser microphones, such as SCHOEPS and Sennheiser MKH 50, when used with a RAD shock mount. Shaped like a mushroom, the foam has a thick circular end around the capsule with a hollow cavity that provides a larger dead-air space. The thinnest part of the foam that wraps around the microphones has been lined with silicone to create a non-slip grip. The tapered shape allows it to be pushed all the way on very short condensers (e.g. CMC 1 U), whereas the thin area fits without touching the RAD hoops.
Also available with fur Mini Windcovers designed to fit perfectly over the mushroom foam to add extra wind protection.
RADIUS foam windscreens are made in the UK using semi-open cell material that is resistant to UV and moisture.
