Nagra 4.2 – Neil Stone Timecode Mod (SN: 0417040). Date of Manufacture: 1980.

This was a popular modification performed by Nagra veteran Neil Stone of Sound Check in California. The conversion used modified mono record and playback heads and Denecke timecode circuitry in place of pilot tone to allow a mono Nagra to record and playback 2-track mono recordings with center track timecode, which extended useful life of mono Nagras when timecode entered the film production scene.Fully serviced and calibrated in May 2026 by Glen Trew.  Mic Preamps: #1 Universal, #2 Universal.  Calibrated for SM911 tape @510nW/m.  Guaranteed to perform at or above original Nagra specifications.
