Lectrosonics IFBT2.0 Dual-Channel IFB Transmitter

Lectrosonics IFBT2.0 — Dual-channel package in a 1/2 rack enclosure, offering the same rack density (4 channels in 1RU) of the the venerable IFBT4, but now with modern, menu-driven connectivity (including analog, mic, and line level; Dante and AES digital; RTS; and ClearCom), a rich interface with color LCD and tactile buttons, Wireless Designer compatibility, and a wide range of menu-selectable RF power settings.

The IFBT2.0 is available in North American tuning ranges: A1 (470-537 MHz) and B1 (537-614 MHz). These versions exactly match the currently available IFBR1B and IFBR1C (IFBlue) receiver packs.

Features

  • IFB and NU/EU Hybrid compatibility modes for use with all prior IFB receivers including IFBR1, IFBR1A, IFBR1B, IFBR1C (IFBlue) units, along with any Hybrid receiver from Venue and Venue 2 to UCR411a, R400a, and LR, and any Digital receiver with Hybrid compatibility including DCR822, DSR, DSR4, and DSQD.
  • Circulator/Isolator in the RF output on each channel acts as a one-way valve for RF, preventing external signals from entering the transmitters. This greatly reduces the generation intermodulation products, allowing for tighter frequency coordination, even with higher RF powers.
  • RF power settings via the menu or through Wireless Designer for 10, 25, 50 mW, and (North America only) 100 and 250 mW.
  • AES and Dante digital inputs.
  • Analog mic level, line level, ClearCom, and RTS inputs – including DC blocking for “wet” signals.
  • USB-C and Ethernet connectivity.
  • Ideal for a point-to-point audio transmitter with excellent audio fidelity using NU/EU Hybrid compat mode (flat from 40-20 kHz, with no audio companding).
  • Two versions for North America are available: A1 (470-537 MHz), and B1 (537-608 MHz). Three versions for international customers are available: E01-A1 (470-537 MHz), E01-B1 (537-614 MHz), and E01-C1 (614-691 MHz). These ranges match the frequency tuning bands for current IFBR1B and IFBR1C receivers.
  • Hirose 4-pin DC connector (DCR15/1A8U-H power supply included with unit)

Oveview

A half-rack dual-channel transmitter with two independent transmitters and a rack density equal to shelf-mounted IFBT4 (4 channels in 1RU), the IFBT2.0 also features enhanced, menu-selectable input connectivity with a variety of available inputs. Also compatible with “wet” signals, allowing for use with connections where DC is present on the audio lines. The IFBT2.0 lso includes USB-C and Ethernet connections for use with Wireless Designer software for system monitoring, frequency coordination, and setup.

The IFBT2.0 offers IFB, NU Hybrid (North American units), and EU Hybrid (export units) compatibility modes, so the unit can be used in IFB and other applications including point-to-point audio where sound quality is critical. This next-generation transmitter unit is fully compatible with the existing line of IFBR1B, IFBR1C (IFBlue), legacy IFBR1 and IFBR1A receivers; and all Digital Hybrid Wireless® and current digital Lectrosonics receivers from the Venue 2 to the LR, DSQD, DCR822, DSR, and DSR4.

The IFBT2.0 offers user selectable RF power settings at 10, 25, 50, 100, and 250 mW (North American versions), and 10, 25, and 50 mW (EU versions). A circulator/isolator is employed on each channel, allowing RF signals to pass through to the antennas, while blocking external signals from entered the transmitter output sections. This greatly reduces the generation of intermodulation products.

Future firmware updates can be installed in the IFBT2.0 in the field via the USB-C jack on the front panel of the unit. The unit comes standard with rack mounting hardware and can be co-racked with Lectrosonics M2T or DSQD units or racked singly with the optional RMPRM2T-1 kit. The front panel features a color LCD for menu navigation and monitoring, and tactile buttons for ease of use and longevity.
