Lectrosonics ALP620 Log Periodic Directional Antenna

Built for field production, the Lectrosonics ALP620 is a skeletal log periodic antenna whose open frame cuts wind loading outdoors.

Its log periodic dipole array (LPDA) design keeps a directional pattern across a wide bandwidth, with VSWR below 2:1 from 450 to 862 MHz. The wide bandwidth suits multi-channel and frequency-agile wireless systems, where many narrowband gain antennas fall short. It adds 4 dBd of gain over a dipole for longer reach.

The perforated body is 1/8 in FR4 fiberglass circuit board, and a protective cover guards its 50 ohm BNC connector. The mounting block takes 1/4-20 and 3/8-16 tripod threads and 5/8-27 mic stand threads. Four screws let the block move for vertical or horizontal mounting. Mount it vertically, in the same plane as the transmitter antennas, and away from reflective surfaces.
