K-Tek KSH1 Stingray Audio SunHat (Beige)

The K-Tek KSH1 Stingray Audio SunHat shades the head and neck of a sound recordist working outdoors and fits over-ear headphones.

Over each temple, a wide opening closes with magnetic snaps. Put the hat on, then the headphones, slip the earcups through the openings, and snap the brim shut. Earmuffs and on-ear headphones fit the same way.

The light, sand-colored fabric is rated UPF 50 and blocks 98 percent of UVA and UVB rays. A half brim shades the face, a neck cover protects the back, and cooling vents let heat out. One size fits most with an elastic band, and a chin strap keeps it on in wind. The hat keeps its sun protection through machine washing.
