K-Tek ABP1 Airo Boom Pole 1 (Aluminum, Uncabled)
The K-Tek ABP1 Airo is a four-section aluminum boom pole that extends to 10 ft 10 in and weighs 1.6 lb.
It collapses to 3 ft 2.5 in. The sections are non-rotating. Rubberized collars lock and unlock with a short twist, and foam grips cut handling noise on long takes. The top 3/8-16 male thread and the anodized aluminum bottom both come off.
The pole is uncabled, so a mic cable such as the 25 ft AXC25 runs along the outside. The pole also serves as an antenna mast on a sound cart.
