Easyrig Boom Rig with Flex Vest — Support system for boom operators with incorporate Flex Vest, featuring enhanced chest support and additional adjustability compared to the original Boom Rig vest. It was developed with a wider range of body types in mind and benefits any operator who wears it. Drawing on Easyrig’s decades of expertise in weight distribution, the Boom Rig system transfers the load of a boom pole directly from the operator’s arms and shoulders to the hips. The result is a significant reduction in fatigue over long shooting days.

The system accommodates boom pole and microphone combinations weighing between 2.5 and 10 kg (approximately 5.5 to 22 lbs). An adjustable tension knob allows fine-tuning of the support level on the fly. The boom hook features integrated rollers for smooth, low-resistance pole movement across a 41.7-inch pivot range. A dedicated mixer holder on the front of the vest keeps a mixer or recorder within reach while distributing its weight to the hips as well. The kit ships in a backpack-style transport bag for easy storage between locations.
