Deity S-Mic 3 Shotgun Microphone
The Deity S-Mic 3, a supercardioid shotgun microphone, has a 12 dB-A noise floor and handles up to 130 dB SPL, in an 80 g aluminum body 250 mm (9.84 in) long.
Its high sensitivity needs less gain, and its tone stays smooth with low off-axis coloration. The sweet spot spans about 45°, wide enough to follow an unscripted conversation without swinging to each person.
That pickup suits reality TV, documentaries, and improvised scenes. The light body also helps when the microphone stays up on a long boom pole.
The CNC-machined aluminum body resists radio frequency interference and weather. The microphone works in up to 95% humidity without a change in sound, runs on 24 V or 48 V phantom power, and comes with a 5-year warranty.
