Comtek PR-75a AutoSmart-Tuning Personal Receiver
With AutoSmart-Tuning, the Comtek PR-75a finds the nearest compatible transmitter in the 72-76 MHz band and sets itself to that channel for personal listening.
Plugging in the earphone turns the receiver on and starts the AutoSmart-Tuning process, and unplugging it turns the receiver off. Where several transmitters are in use, a one-button tuning control starts the search again so the listener can move to another program. The PR-75a can also be set to one frequency, or to a group of preset frequencies stepped through with the same button. One receiver can serve a church service, a class, a tour, or a personal listening system.
Its standard EQ emphasizes the frequencies that carry speech, for assistive listening and personal communication. The PR-75P version has a pro-audio EQ for high-fidelity use. It works with the M-175, BST-75, and BST-50b transmitters, takes stereo or mono headsets, and runs about 100 hours on two AA batteries.
