Product Overview

The LEONARD ball is a detachable front windscreen designed for interference tube-free microphones. Like other windscreens for microphones sensitive to sound pressure gradients (such as cardioid or hyper-cardioid), it creates a cavity around the microphone capsule to minimize pressure differences across the membrane.

The primary layer is crafted from a 3D fabric with carefully selected porosity (similar to Zephyx, Piano, and Pianissimo models) for optimal indoor performance. An optional removable fur layer can be added for outdoor use.

Compared to its larger counterparts (Piano, Pianissimo, and Zephyx), the LEONARD ball has a more compact design, striking a delicate balance between size, wind protection, and acoustic transparency.
