The moleskin is a soft fabric made from bamboo, quieter against clothing than nylon and kinder to the environment. A cover sits over the lav on a piece of tape and gives it a smooth surface that hides under clothing, without a visible bump or outline. It shields the microphone from sweat, makeup, and fabric contact, cuts down on clothing rustle, and leaves the sound clear. It works with any lavalier. The covers come in a mix of black, beige, and white, so the cover can match skin or clothing on the spot. Bubblebee’s transparent Invisible Lav Tape, sold separately, holds the microphone and cover on skin or clothing.
