Audio-Technica ATH-R70x Professional Open-Back Reference Headphones

The Audio-Technica ATH-R70x pairs specially designed 45 mm drivers with acoustically transparent aluminum honeycomb-mesh housings, giving these professional open-back reference headphones an accurate, natural sound for mixing and mastering.

Together with the ATH-M70x, the R70x is a flagship of Audio-Technica’s professional studio headphones. High-efficiency magnets and a pure alloy magnetic circuit reduce distortion and extend the high-frequency response, while carbon composite resin adds structural rigidity for detailed transient response. The headphones reproduce frequencies from 5 Hz to 40 kHz.

At about 210 g (7.4 oz) without the cable, the R70x is light enough for long sessions. Breathable fabric earpads and an improved version of Audio-Technica’s 3D wing support system keep it comfortable through prolonged professional use. The dual-sided detachable locking cable keeps the stereo orientation correct no matter which side it is attached to. A protective carrying pouch is included.
