Sound Devices A-FILTER RF Filter Board for XLR Cables
The Sound Devices A-FILTER is a printed circuit board that reduces RF interference on balanced microphone lines, for use with digital wireless transmitters such as the A10-TX. It solders onto the female end of a straight XLR cable.
The end that holds the A-FILTER connects directly to the microphone. The board cuts unwanted RF by about 40 dB. It is not compatible with the AC-BALXLR, AC-BALXLR-2, and AC-BALXLR-3 cables.
Each A-FILTER ships as a single board. For a ready-made alternative, the AC-BALXLR-4 is a 3-pin LEMO to XLR female cable that reduces RF interference by about 40 dB as well.
